ICEMAN TRIATHLON & XTERRA ICEMAN
Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquabike, Kayak/SUP & 5km
Saturday, February 25, 2023 • 8:00 am
Update 2/24/23 11:56a.m.
After many conversations with USA Triathlon, XTERRA and our medical team we have agreed upon a shortened swim course for Iceman of approximately 400m.
Below are a few thoughts from the medical director:
- Wetsuit use is strongly encouraged
- The water is cold (52F) and it will take your breath away. Acclimate to the water before the race starts. Ease yourself into the water, control your heart rate and breathing before you start swimming
- Towel off and put on warm clothes before starting the bike. In particular cover up ears, hands and feet
For those that would like to switch to a duathlon please let the registration team know in the morning
