X-Contracting is proud to host the Trenches & Tacos 5K, a community-driven event that brings together fitness, culture, and purpose. As a civil contractor specializing in underground utility work, we spend our days in the trenches… now we’re inviting you to run above them! Whether you’re a seasoned runner, part of the construction industry, or just looking for a fun event to be part of, this 5K is designed for everyone. This event isn’t just about crossing the finish line—it’s about giving back. All proceeds will benefit Arizona Center for Youth Resources (ACYR), a nonprofit helping Phoenix youth build brighter futures through education support, job training, and employment opportunities in Arizona’s skilled workforce. And because no great run should end without great food, each registration includes three tacos from Carniceria Sonora—a local favorite known for its rich flavors and roots in Sonora, Mexico.

ACYR empowers Phoenix youth by providing education support, job training, and direct workforce placement for young people facing barriers to employment. Their programs focus on helping students graduate, gain certifications, and secure meaningful jobs.
