The Nun Run
The Poor Clares are happy to host this event – now in it’s 10th year and running! The Nun Run -Presented by Catholic Cemeteries and Funeral Homes of the Diocese of Phoenix- is their biggest annual fundraiser…and the most successful, thanks to YOU! With distances of 10K, 5K and 1 mile, there is something for everyone. The 10th Annual Nun Run holds special significance, as the Poor Clares will begin construction on their Monastery THIS YEAR! – and need your help to see it completed. Registering for the Run, becoming a sponsor or donor, or by becoming a Nun Run fundraiser – each of these help the Nuns run closer toward their fundraising goal! The Nuns wish to “thank you ahead of time” for your support and they look forward to seeing you at the Run!
Remember to stop by the Poor Clare booth:
1. To greet the Poor Clares and to meet their 3 new postulants
2. To purchase raffle tickets for Beata the Octopus (this VERY large and adorable octopus crocheted by Sr. Mary Fidelis).
3. For Children 18 and under: To enter a free children’s raffle for a nun doll and St. Joseph puzzle
4. To leave your prayer intentions with the Nuns
5. To learn more information about the upcoming building project

If you are arriving after 7:30 a.m. please be mindful that the 10km has already started.
This race will be chip timed using disposable chip technology by RFID Timing. Timing chips are on the reverse side of your race number. Race numbers should be worn the correct way up, pinned to the front of your shirt and worn over your belly button. Results will be available live at the results kiosk on big screen TV’s.
