I.D. Rather Be Running 5km
Benefitting Homeless I.D. Project AZ

Saturday, May 5, 2018 • 7:30 am

INTRODUCTION
Join Coolwater Christian Church & Foothills Christian Church in our first ever I.D. Rather Be Running 5KM Run/Walk where 100% of the proceeds go to Homeless I.D. Project Az!

Registered racers will receive a continental breakfast after the race, a medal ceremony, T-shirt, and a Wet ‘N Wild Waterpark full-day entry ticket at half price! The race is held at Victory Lanes, right next door to Wet ‘N Wild Waterpark, so come run or walk the 5KM and then go cool off at Wet ‘N Wild right after. After registration, you will receive a link to purchase your half price Wet ‘N Wild ticket for yourself, friends and family! Walkers are welcome! If you are unable to walk or run we still welcome you to register and enjoy the food and festivities!

Before and after the race we will have vendors and sponsor booths to enjoy as well.

Coolwater and Foothills Christian Church have joined forces to raise money for a cause that is very close to our heart: Homeless I.D. Project.

Have you ever tried to get a job without an ID? Sign a lease? Enroll your child in school? See a doctor? or How about access social services?

All of the services that are meant to help people get off the streets, rebuild their lives, and regain their self-sufficiency are dependent on one thing, identification! Homeless ID Project is the only organization in Arizona with its sole mission to help men, women, and children experiencing homelessness to rebuild their lives by obtaining their identification. They are focused and committed to reducing barriers to accessing employment, housing, and social services. Homeless I.D. Project is a charity unlike any other and they receive no government funding so we are helping them try to bridge the gap in expenses. Since its inception, the Homeless ID Project has grown from serving a few people in need to impacting the lives of over 8,000 people served in 2017. Homeless ID Project continues to grow its service to the community with a projected 9,000 people to be served in 2018.

Join us for a day of fun in the sun and help us raise money for a great cause!

Sponsorships for the race are still available- please contact Shelby Ryan 602.620.3005 for more information.
