6 & 12 HOURS OF FURY

If you, or anyone in your household, has tested positive to COVID-19 or shows any signs of illness or symptoms of COVID-19, you should not attend this event.

According to the Maricopa County Department of Public Health, COVID-19 symptoms include:
• Fever or chills
• Cough
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Fatigue
• Muscle or body aches
• Headache
• New loss of taste or smell
• Sore throat
• Congestion or runny nose
• Nausea or vomiting
• Gastrointestinal Symptoms (Stomach Ache, Diarrhea, Nausea or Vomiting)

The 6 & 12 Hours of Fury aims to test experienced mountain bikers while welcoming new riders to dip their tires in the dirt. The challenge remains the same, do the most laps possible within 6 or 12 hours! With colder weather on the way we have you covered with our 2021 Fury beanie- included with registration.

Shallmo Wash to Pemberton (1.8 miles)
Pemberton to Granite (0.4 miles)
Granite to Delsie (1.4 miles)
Delsie to Pemberton (2.5 miles)
Pemberton to Scenic (6.5 miles)
Scenic to Cinch (1.2 miles)
Cinch to Escondido (0.6 miles)
Escondido to Finish (0.2 miles)

Please note, riders will no longer be required to dismount through the timing point/lap finish.

SCHEDULE
Please no moving into Four Peaks Staging Area until 8 a.m. Friday November 19. The gate at the entrance to McDowell Mt Park is open 6am to 8pm daily. Exit is available 24 hours

RACE TIMING & RESULTS
This event will be chip timed by 4 Peaks Timing. Timing chips will be fixed to the reverse side of your race number. Times will be posted live to web every 5 minutes. Duo and quad teams will be given a rubber ducky/baton to be passed from team member to team member.

RULES
1. Soloists and teams have from 6 or 12 hours form their wave start time to complete as many laps as possible. Laps completed after 6 or 12 hours will not be counted.
2. Race numbers must be forward facing and displayed at all times.
3. Please overtake with care and communicate to the slower rider. Slower riders please yield.
4. One rider per team on the course at a time.
5. Rider exchanges must be made in the exchange tent.
6. Each athlete riding between 5:15 p.m. and the finish must have a front light with two to three hours of battery life.
7. Each team that starts this race will be given a lap count and time in the results regardless of when they finish. Winners are the individuals and teams that complete the most laps in the fastest time before 12 hours has elapsed.

EXCHANGE/LAP
Rather than come into the aid area, solos (or team member taking a second lap) may make an immediate right after the finish line to start another lap. Fluids, nutrition or any assistance should not be taken at this location. If riders need fluids, nutrition or assistance they should head to their campsite.

PARKING & CAMPING
Camping is available at the Four Peaks Staging Area. Parking and camping will be on a first come first serve basis. Entry fee to McDowell Mountain Regional Park is $7/day non campers or $22/night for those camping (includes park entry). If possible please have exact change to expedite the entry process. McDowell gate entry hours are 6am to 8pm daily. Exit available 24 hours.
