No bones about it, this is a tough race! Come out and test yourself against at the 4th Annual Castle Creek Triathlon. The Castle Creek Triathlon offers a sprint and Olympic distance triathlon and aquabike in addition to sprint duathlon and kayak/SUP for individuals. Want to split the load? For teams we offer an Olympic and sprint distance relay.

USA TRIATHLON
The Castle Creek Triathlon is sanctioned by USA Triathlon (USAT), the governing body of multisport in North America. One of the many roles played by USAT is that of insurance provider for this race. As such USAT requires that every participant be either (1) an annual member, or (2) purchase a one day membership. Memberships can be purchased during online registration.

At 6:30 a.m. the road from the entry station to the boat ramp will be closed to inbound traffic. Vehicles may leave at any time but please be aware cyclists and runners will be on the road.
RACE TIMING
This event will be chip timed by 4 Peaks Racing using triathlon chips. Lost or unreturned chips will be charged to the athlete. Results will be available live at the results kiosk on a big screen TV. Chips should be worn on your left ankle and must be returned at the finish.
AWARDS
Overall awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in sprint and Olympic as well as top 3 in Mountain Collegiate Conference. Age group awards will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers per the following age groups:

Awards will also be given to the top three finishers in the following categories:

WETSUIT USE GUIDELINES
USAT rules state that competitors may wear wetsuits if the water temperature is 78 degrees or lower.
USAT rules also state that if the water temperature is between 78.1 – 83.9 degrees, competitors may wear wetsuits but will not be eligible for awards.
If the water temperature is 84 degrees or above, participants may NOT wear wetsuits.
COURSE CUT OFFS
There are three cut offs for The Castle Creek Triathlon.
1) You must have started the bike by 7:45 a.m.
2) You must start the run by 9:30 a.m.
3) You must be on the second loop of the run by 10:15 a.m.
AQUABIKE
Final time for aquabike participants will be calculated at BIKE IN. Once you have finished please make your way to the finish line in your own time to collect your medal, grab a drink and return your timing chip.

The ground in transition is on the rough side. Feel free to leave flip flops at swim exit

Traffic is restricted but road not completely closed to traffic. STAY RIGHT! Share the road. Exercise caution
Please ride very cautiously from the entry station down the hill to the boat ramp. This section of road will also have runners
