Wanted for displays of speed and athleticism, Cactus Man is coming back to Tempe! Bringing you the familiarity of Tempe Town Lake with both Sprint and Olympic distances for individual and relay competitors. See you at the fifth annual Cactus Man!
This year Cactus Man serves at The USAT Arizona State Championship. Top three men and women age groupers on Olympic and Sprint will be crowned AZ State Champions. Additionally, the top three high schoolers in the Sprint distance will also be recognized as AZ State Champions.

CLICK HERE for water temp. We will be following USA Triathlon’s guidelines for wetsuit use. Wetsuits use is allowed when water temperature is 78 or under. Age group athletes can use at wetsuit when water temperature is 78-84 but would not be eligible to awards
BIKE
Sprint = 1 lap

Sprint = 1 lap
Olympic = 2 laps
Safety is our number one priority. As such 4 Peaks Racing reserves the right to make any changes necessary to the event.
AQUA BIKE
Aqua Bike athletes will start with the corresponding wave and complete the swim and bike only. Final time will be calculated at BIKE IN. Once you have finished please make your way to the finish line at your leisure to collect your medal, grab a drink and return your timing chip.
RACE TIMING
This event is timed using equipment by RFID Timing Systems. All participants need to wear a timing chip around their ankle with the Velcro strap provided. The chips are reusable and need to be returned after the event. These chips are the athlete’s responsibility and missing chips will be charged to the athletes.

PACKET PICK UP
Photo ID required to pick up race packet
If you are a USA Triathlon member please have proof of membership
You have to pick up your race packet in person (no one can pick up yours and you cannot pick up for anyone else)
Each member of a relay team must check in but the whole does not have to pick up their packets together
USA TRIATHLON
This event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon (USAT), the governing body of multisport in North America. One of the many roles played by USAT is that of insurance provider for this race. As such USAT requires that every participant be either (1) an annual member and provide proof of membership at packet pick up, or (2) purchase a one day membership at packet pick up. Paid parking will be available adjacent to Tempe Center for the Arts at The Idea Parking Garage located at:

On race morning access to the Idea Parking Garage before 530am will be unrestricted. From 530am to 630am bike course road closures will begin to take effect. Access to the Idea Parking Garage will be from University, northbound on Hardy. After 630am there is no parking in the to the Idea Parking Garage. Please park downtown Tempe after 630am

Top 3 male and female Pro in the Olympic distance
Overall awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the Sprint and Olympic distance.
Age group awards will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the Sprint and Olympic distance per the following age groups:
