This reverse order sprint triathlon will kick-off your fall season with a bang! The Anthem Sprint Triathlon, hosted in conjunction with North Valley Multisport, is held in a great location and on a fantastic course. Consisting of a 5km run, a fast 20km bike course and a 400m swim to the finish, The Anthem Sprint Triathlon is a great way to start your fall racing season.

6:15 a.m. Athlete briefing
6:30 a.m. Kid’s Triathlon starts
7:00 a.m. Men, women and relays rolling start (self seed fastest to slowest)
7:15 a.m. Youth triathlon awards (top 3 overall boys and girls)
9:00 a.m. Awards
COVID PRECAUTIONS
PHYSICAL DISTANCING
We will be creating a large transition area with less bikes per rack. Please be mindful of of others during the event especially at registration, race start, finish line and post race.
REDUCE FACE TO FACE INTERACTIONS
Plastic barrier between athletes and volunteers/staff at packet pick up in Anthem
Self serve water station on the run. Volunteers will place single serve water bottles on a table, please help yourself.
At the finish line please take off your own timing chip and get a finisher medal off the table
HAND SANITIZER
Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the race site
SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
Absolutely no headphones allowed**
All participants must wear a helmet on the bike route**
No floatation devices in the pool**
**Infraction will results in disqualification
ADULT COURSE
RUN – 5km
The run course utilizes the paved Anthem Trail System and sidewalks.
Starting from the west side of the transition area.
Across the bridge
South on trail crossing Whitman then Memorial to Gavillan Peak (MCSO Deputies will be at road crossing)
Continue south on Gavillan Peak to turnaround
North on Gavillan Peak to Anthem Way
Anthem Way east to Community Center and transition
BIKE – 20km (three loops)
HELMETS ARE REQUIRED ON THE BIKE ROUTE
There will be a designated lane separating bike traffic from vehicular traffic around the entire course.

North on Freedom Way to Anthem Way
East on Anthem Way to Daisy Mountain
South on Daisy Mountain to Dedication
North on Dedication to Memorial
West on Memorial to Freedom

SWIM (2 cycles)
Enter the pool feet first. No diving! Up lane 1, under the lane lines, down lane 2, under the lane lines, up lane 3, etc. On completing the 8 lanes in the pool you will have done 200 yds and will need to return to the swim start for a second loop. In past years there has been crowding in the pool. This system will allow for overtaking and have one way swim traffic in each lane.
KID’S COURSE
RUN – 1/2 Mile
Consisting of a loop around the Anthem soccer fields.
BIKE – 4.5 miles (one loop)
HELMETS ARE REQUIRED ON THE BIKE ROUTE

We welcome parents/guardians to accompany their children on the course. If you choose to ride with your child you will need a helmet too.
AWARDS
Top 3 boys and girls in the kid’s triathlon.
Overall awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers. Age group awards will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the adult distance per the following age groups:

15-19
20-24
25-29
30-34
35-39
40-44
45-49
50-54
55-59
60-64
65-69
70-74
75-79
80+
Awards will also be given to the top three finishers in the following categories:
Clydesdales (Men 220 +lbs)
Athenas (Women 165+ lbs)

TIMING
The Anthem Sprint Triathlon is timed using equipment by RFID Timing Systems. All participants need to wear a timing chip around their ankle with the Velcro strap provided. The chips are reusable and need to be returned after the event.
