Chasing the Sun is not your typical race—it’s an endurance adventure built for grit, strategy and pure determination. Set on a 6km looped course, you’ll chase every mile against the clock. Choosing your challenge: 3 hours, 6 hours, or go sun up to sun down. Take it on solo or team up in duos, trios, or quads to keep the momentum rolling. Whether you’re pushing your personal limits or feeding off your team’s energy, every lap brings you closer to the ultimate test. How far can you go before the sun sets on your race?

8:00 a.m. Four Peaks Staging Area open for arrival and set up of crew canopies and claiming camping spots
3:00 p.m. Packet Pick Up at the Four Peaks Staging Area opens
5:00 p.m. Packet Pick Up at the Four Peaks Staging Area closes
The gate at the entrance to McDowell Mt Park is open 6am to 8pm daily. Exit is available 24 hours

Individuals and teams have 3 hours, 6 hours or 10 hours and 42 minutes from the time their race starts to complete as many laps as possible. Laps completed outside the time limits will not count toward lap totals

RACE TIMING & RESULTS
This event will be chip timed by 4 Peaks Timing. Timing chips will be fixed to the reverse side of your race number. Times will be posted live to web every 5 minutes. Duo, trio and quad teams will be given a race belt to switch the race number between team mates
PARKING & CAMPING
Camping is available at the Four Peaks Staging Area. Parking and camping will be on a first come first serve basis. Entry fee to McDowell Mountain Regional Park is $10/day non campers or $22/night for those camping (includes park entry). If possible please have exact change to expedite the entry process. McDowell gate entry hours are 6am to 8pm daily. Exit available 24 hours.
