SUMMARY:RUN3rd 5km
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 8th Annual RUN3rd 5k at Red Mountain High School in Mesa\, Arizona on Saturday\, April 2nd.  The race starts and finishes on the track\, inside the Red Mountain HS Football Stadium.  The course is a flat and fast loop around the surrounding Mesa Public Schools property.  We’re planning a race day expo with local vendors for our post race party/awards ceremony (age group and overall).  There will be RUN3rd race shirts and medals guaranteed for all participants who pre-register online! Our annual RUN3rd 5k is a chance to bring the community together to support our young runners. It’s also a chance for the students in our after-school running programs to come together and celebrate all they have accomplished throughout the school year while raising funds for the next season. \nRACE TIMING\nThis race will be chip timed using disposable chip technology by RFID Timing. Timing chips are on the reverse side of your race number. SUMMARY:Gila Hank’s Youth Sprint Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:Gila Hank’s Youth Sprint Triathlon is a Swim\, Bike\, Run event for participants between 11 and 17 years old. The triathlon consists of a 75-yard swim\, 6-mile bike\, and 1.5-mile run. Participants can compete as an individual (do the whole thing yourself) or as part of a relay team (swimmer\, cyclist or runner) that you form prior to the triathlon. Leaders and adults are welcome to participate as individuals or relay team. The goals of Gila Hank’s Sprint Triathlon are to safely finish the race\, have fun\, make friendships\, and be part of something amazing.\n\n \nRACE TIMING\nThis event is timed using equipment by RFID Timing Systems. All participants need to wear a timing chip around their ankle with the Velcro strap provided. DESCRIPTION:Come out and enjoy an evening of fun and racing with your friends at Splash & Dash. Splash & Dash is a unique event with a relaxed atmosphere that is suitable for all levels of athlete. Whether fine tuning for that big race or getting your feet wet at your first multisport event\, Splash & Dash is the place to be! \nDISTANCES\nSwim 1500m / Run 5km\nSwim 750m / Run 5km\nSwim Only 1500m\nSwim Only 750m \nCOST\n$40 until March 31st at 11:59 p.m.\n$45 until April 15th at 11:59 p.m.\n$50 until April 27th at 11:00 a.m.\n$60 Late registration (includes sales tax) \nSCHEDULE\n4:30 p.m. Packet pick up and late registration at race site\n5:55 p.m. 2Gether We Live teams in water start\n6:00 p.m. 1500m Open water swim & 1500m Splash & Dash begins. Rolling start\n6:05 p.m. 750m Open water swim & 750m Splash & Dash begins. Results will be available online at the conclusion of the event.  \nWETSUIT USE\nSplash & Dash adheres to USA Triathlon guidelines for wetsuit use. Wetsuits may be used when the water temperature does not exceed 78 F. \nCLICK HERE for water temp. \nPARKING\nAll Splash & Dash races are held at the Special Event Ramp\, on the north side of the lake between Mill and Rural. Parking is available at Tempe Town Lake Marina and limited parking is available at Lake View Dr under the 202. \nUSA TRIATHLON\nSplash & Dash is sanctioned by USA Triathlon (USAT)\, the governing body of multisport in North America. One of the many roles played by USAT is that of insurance provider for this race. As such USAT requires that every participant be either (1) an annual member and provide proof of membership at packet pick up\, or (2) purchase a one day membership at packet pick up. All participants must show I.D. at registration. Please note that Splash & Dash is sanctioned as a clinic and results will not count toward USA Triathlon rankings. \npH POLICY\nIn order for Tempe Town Lake to host a full body contact event the pH of the water must be 9.0 or below\, as required by Maricopa County. An increase in pH is caused by an abundance of algae in the lake typically caused by an increase in the temperature and little to no movement of water through the lake. If the pH does not meet this standard Splash and Dash will be cancelled. Furthermore\, should there be 1/5 of an inch of rain within 24 hours of Splash & Dash the event will be cancelled.
