DESCRIPTION:Archway Veritas and Veritas Prep are excited to present the Annual 5K Victory Run. Before the holidays arrive\, come join our community in a timed run and family race with our classmates\, neighbors\, and friends. We invite the entire community to join us in this professionally chip-timed 5K run/walk on the SRP Canal. The race will start and finish at Arizona Falls\, on the canal just east of 56th Street and Indian School. Proceeds will benefit Archway Veritas and Veritas Prep and the fun will unite our school communities as well as our neighborhood community. There will be signs around the pool representing your estimated swim time. Please seed yourself accordingly. \nAQUABIKE\nFinal time for aquabike participants will be calculated at BIKE IN. Once you have finished please make your way to the finish line in your own time to collect your medal\, grab a drink and return your timing chip. \nCOURSE\nSWIM (Pool is heated)\nEach athlete will be started one at a time with a 15 second gap. Enter the pool feet first. No diving! Up lane 1\, under the lane lines\, down lane 2\, under the lane lines\, up lane 3\, etc. On completing the 8 lanes in the pool you will have done 200 yds. and will need to return to the swim start for a second loop. Lost or unreturned chips will be charged to the athlete. Results will be available live at the results kiosk on a big screen TV. Proceed straight through two sets of lights to Freedom Way. SUMMARY:XTERRA Estrella
DESCRIPTION:Join us and cooler weather on December 15 for the 3rd XTERRA race of our series on the Competitive Loops at Estrella Mountain Regional Park. Consisting almost entirely of single track\, the 8k and 20k courses will challenge beginner and experienced trail runners alike. The courses begin at the park’s competitive loops. Both courses are based at the competitive loops off of Avenida Estrella south of ISM Raceway (Formerly PIR). There are two (or three) major hills and a quite a few twists and turns as the course winds through the valley desert. You finish the last half mile with a wide descent to help propel you across the finish line. All participants will receive a huge post-race breakfast\, a super cool race tee and finisher medal\, as well as entry into fun post-race festivities. NOTE: DO NOT GO TO THE MAIN PARK ENTRANCE!
