The Anthem Sprint Triathlon\, hosted in conjunction with North Valley Multisport\, is held in a great location and on a fantastic course. Transition area open.\n6:15 a.m. Athlete briefing\n6:30 a.m. Kid’s Triathlon starts\n7:00 a.m. Men\, women and relays rolling start (self seed fastest to slowest)\n7:15 a.m. Youth triathlon awards (top 3 overall boys and girls)\n9:00 a.m. Awards \nCOVID PRECAUTIONS\nPHYSICAL DISTANCING\nWe will be creating a large transition area with less bikes per rack. Please be mindful of of others during the event especially at registration\, race start\, finish line and post race. \nREDUCE FACE TO FACE INTERACTIONS\nPlastic barrier between athletes and volunteers/staff at packet pick up in Anthem\nSelf serve water station on the run. Volunteers will place single serve water bottles on a table\, please help yourself.\nAt the finish line please take off your own timing chip and get a finisher medal off the table \nHAND SANITIZER\nHand sanitizer will be available throughout the race site \nSAFETY CONSIDERATIONS\nAbsolutely no headphones allowed**\nAll participants must wear a helmet on the bike route**\nNo floatation devices in the pool**\n**Infraction will results in disqualification \nPARKING\n \nOVERFLOW PARKING\n \nSITE MAP\n \nADULT COURSE\nRUN – 5km\nThe run course utilizes the paved Anthem Trail System and sidewalks.\nStarting from the west side of the transition area.\nAcross the bridge\nSouth on trail crossing Whitman then Memorial to Gavillan Peak (MCSO Deputies will be at road crossing)\nContinue south on Gavillan Peak to turnaround\nNorth on Gavillan Peak to Anthem Way\nAnthem Way east to Community Center and transition \n \nBIKE – 20km (three loops)\nHELMETS ARE REQUIRED ON THE BIKE ROUTE\nThere will be a designated lane separating bike traffic from vehicular traffic around the entire course.\nExit the Community Center on Freedom Way\nNorth on Freedom Way to Anthem Way\nEast on Anthem Way to Daisy Mountain\nSouth on Daisy Mountain to Dedication\nNorth on Dedication to Memorial\nWest on Memorial to Freedom\nNorth on Freedom to lap or transition \n \nSWIM (2 cycles)\nEnter the pool feet first. No diving! Up lane 1\, under the lane lines\, down lane 2\, under the lane lines\, up lane 3\, etc. On completing the 8 lanes in the pool you will have done 200 yds and will need to return to the swim start for a second loop. In past years there has been crowding in the pool. This system will allow for overtaking and have one way swim traffic in each lane. \n \nKID’S COURSE\nRUN – 1/2 Mile\nConsisting of a loop around the Anthem soccer fields. \n \nBIKE – 4.5 miles (one loop)\nHELMETS ARE REQUIRED ON THE BIKE ROUTE\nThere will be a designated lane separating bike traffic from vehicular traffic around the entire course.\nExit the Community Center on Freedom Way\nNorth on Freedom Way to Anthem Way\nEast on Anthem Way to Daisy Mountain\nSouth on Daisy Mountain to Dedication\nNorth on Dedication to Memorial\nWest on Memorial to Freedom\nNorth on Freedom to lap or transition \nSWIM – 200m\nEnter the pool feet first. No diving! Up lane 1\, under the lane lines\, down lane 2\, under the lane lines\, up lane 3\, etc. \nWe welcome parents/guardians to accompany their children on the course. If you choose to ride with your child you will need a helmet too. \nAWARDS\nTop 3 boys and girls in the kid’s triathlon. \nOverall awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers. Age group awards will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the adult distance per the following age groups:\n10-14\n15-19\n20-24\n25-29\n30-34\n35-39\n40-44\n45-49\n50-54\n55-59\n60-64\n65-69\n70-74\n75-79\n80+\nAwards will also be given to the top three finishers in the following categories:\nClydesdales (Men 220 +lbs)\nAthenas (Women 165+ lbs)\nRelay \nTIMING\nThe Anthem Sprint Triathlon is timed using equipment by RFID Timing Systems. All participants need to wear a timing chip around their ankle with the Velcro strap provided.
