DESCRIPTION:The 6 & 12 Hours of Fury aims to test experienced mountain bikers while welcoming new riders to dip their tires in the dirt. Two big changes for 2020 with a new route and the addition of a 6 hour option. The challenge remains the same\, do the most laps possible within 6 or 12 hours! With colder weather on the way we have you covered with our 2020 Fury hoodie – included with registration. \n2020 FURY WAIVER \nIMPORTANT SAFETY DETAILS\n1. If you currently have or have had any Covid-19 symptoms DO NOT attend the event\n2. In an effort to reduce the number of people onsite please do not bring spectators\n3. While not racing please wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth at all times. Once you finish please put on a face mask as soon as it is practical to do so\n4. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines at all times\n5. Please wash hands frequently \nSAFETY PROTOCOLS\nSafe return to racing \n \nCOURSE \n \nShallmo Wash to Pemberton (1.8 miles)\nPemberton to Granite (0.4 miles)\nGranite to Delsie (1.4 miles)\nDelsie to Pemberton (2.5 miles)\nPemberton to Scenic (6.5 miles)\nScenic to Cinch (1.2 miles)\nCinch to Escondido (0.6 miles)\nEscondido to Finish (0.2 miles) \nPlease note\, riders will no longer be required to dismount through the timing point/lap finish. \nEXCHANGE/LAP\nRather than come into the aid area\, solos (or team member taking a second lap) may make an immediate right after the finish line to start another lap. Fluids\, nutrition or any assistance should not be taken on the solo lap location. Riders should head to their campsite for fluids\, nutrition and assistance. \nThere will be no baton/rubber ducky this year. The signal for a new rider to start a lap is that the previous rider has dismounted their bike at the dismount signs. An incoming rider should put their mask on as soon as possible after dismounting. An outgoing rider should not remove their mask until they see their rider cross the finish line. \n \nSCHEDULE\nNo moving into Four Peaks Staging Area until 8 a.m. Friday. Timing chips will be fixed to the reverse side of your race number. Times will be posted live to web every 5 minutes. Duo and quad teams will be given a rubber ducky to be passed from team member to team member. \nRULES\n1. Soloists and teams have from 6 or 12 hours form their wave start time to complete as many laps as possible. Laps completed after 6 or 12 hours will not be counted.\n2. Race numbers must be forward facing and displayed at all times.\n3. Please overtake with care and communicate to the slower rider. Slower riders please yield.\n4. One rider per team on the course at a time.\n5. Rider exchanges must be made in the exchange tent.\n6. Each athlete riding between 5:15 p.m. and the finish must have a front light with two to three hours of battery life.\n7. Each team that starts this race will be given a lap count and time in the results regardless of when they finish. Winners are the individuals and teams that complete the most laps in the fastest time before 12 hours has elapsed. \nPARKING & CAMPING\nCamping is available at the Four Peaks Staging Area. Parking and camping will be on a first come first serve basis. Entry fee to McDowell Mountain Regional Park is $7/day non campers or $22/night for those camping (includes park entry). If possible please have exact change to expedite the entry process. McDowell gate entry hours are 6am to 8pm daily.
