DESCRIPTION:Come out and enjoy a morning of fun and racing with your friends at Splash & Dash. Splash & Dash is a unique event with a relaxed atmosphere that is suitable for all levels of athlete. Whether fine tuning for that big race or getting your feet wet at your first multisport event\, Splash & Dash is the place to be! \nSAFETY PROTOCOLS\nSafe return to racing \nENTRY FORMS\nFor those wanting to register race day. CLICK HERE for registration form and HERE for USAT waiver and membership application \nIMPORTANT SAFETY DETAILS\n1. If you currently have or have had any Covid-19 symptoms DO NOT attend the event\n2. In an effort to reduce the number of people onsite please do not bring spectators\n3. While not racing please wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth at all times. Once you finish please put on a face mask as soon as it is practical to do so\n4. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines at all times\n5. Please wash hands frequently \nFace masks must be worn by all attendees at all times. We recommend wearing a disposable face mask to the start line and placing them in the trash can at the start. If you do not have a disposable face mask they will be available for you at registration. Face masks should be put back on as soon as possible after finishing. \nDISTANCES\nSwim 2000m / Run 5km\nSwim 1000m / Run 5km\nSwim Only 4000m\nSwim Only 2000m\nSwim Only 1000m \nLOCATION & COURSE\nSplash & Dash begins and ends at the Special Event Ramp\, on the north side of the lake between Mill and Rural.\nSwim 4000m (4 loops)\, 2000m (2 loops) or 1000m (1 loop)\nRun 5km \n \n \n \nCLICK HERE for water temp.  \n \nCOST\n$40 until October 25th at 11:59 p.m.\n$45 until November 6th at 7:00 p.m.\n$50 Race day registration \nUSA TRIATHLON\nSplash & Dash is sanctioned by USA Triathlon (USAT)\, the governing body of multisport in North America. One of the many roles played by USAT is that of insurance provider for this race. As such USAT requires that every participant be either (1) an annual member and provide proof of membership at packet pick up\, or (2) purchase a one day membership at packet pick up. All participants must show I.D. at registration. Please note that Splash & Dash is sanctioned as a clinic and results will not count toward USA Triathlon rankings. \nSCHEDULE\n6:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. Packet pick up and late registration at race site\n7:30 a.m. 4000m Open water swim\n7:45 a.m. 2000m Open water swim / 2000m Splash & Dash begins\n8:00 a.m. 1000m Open water swim / 1000m Splash & Dash begins\n9:00 a.m. Must be on final loop of 4000m swim \nPlease note: Swimmers to start one at a time \nTIMING\nSplash & Dash is timed using equipment by RFID Timing Systems. All participants need to wear a timing chip around their left ankle. Results will be available online only \nWETSUIT — USE\nSplash & Dash adheres to USA Triathlon guidelines for wetsuit use. Wetsuits may be used when the water temperature does not exceed 78 F. \nCLICK HERE for water temp. \nPARKING\nAll Splash & Dash races are held at the Special Event Ramp\, on the north side of the lake between Mill and Rural. Parking is available at Tempe Town Lake Marina and limited parking is available at Lake View Dr under the 202. \npH POLICY\nIn order for Tempe Town Lake to host a full body contact event the pH of the water must be 9.0 or below\, as required by Maricopa County. An increase in pH is caused by an abundance of algae in the lake typically caused by an increase in the temperature and little to no movement of water through the lake. If the pH does not meet this standard Splash and Dash will be cancelled. Furthermore\, should there be 1/5 of an inch of rain within 24 hours of Splash & Dash the event will be cancelled.
