One of the many roles played by USAT is that of insurance provider for this race. As such USAT requires that every participant be either (1) an annual member and provide proof of membership at packet pick up\, or (2) purchase a one day membership at packet pick up. All participants must show I.D. at registration. Parking is available at Tempe Town Lake Marina and limited parking is available at Lake View Dr under the 202. \npH POLICY\nIn order for Tempe Town Lake to host a full body contact event the pH of the water must be 9.0 or below\, as required by Maricopa County. An increase in pH is caused by an abundance of algae in the lake typically caused by an increase in the temperature and little to no movement of water through the lake. If the pH does not meet this standard Splash and Dash will be cancelled. Furthermore\, should there be 1/5 of an inch of rain within 24 hours of Splash & Dash the event will be cancelled. This year’s event will be hybrid\, one that includes both a safe in-person component and a virtual option to walk/run from anywhere you choose.  \nStep-N-Out is uniting survivors\, loved ones\, caregivers\, medical professionals and supporters from across the country in the fight against pancreatic cancer. Every dollar raised will make an impact! \nAs our planning progresses\, we will keep in line with recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC)\, and follow our state mandates and guidance from our designated crisis management team. Soloists and teams have from 6 or 12 hours form their wave start time to complete as many laps as possible. Laps completed after 6 or 12 hours will not be counted.\n2. Race numbers must be forward facing and displayed at all times.\n3. Please overtake with care and communicate to the slower rider. Slower riders please yield.\n4. One rider per team on the course at a time.\n5. Rider exchanges must be made in the exchange tent.\n6. Each athlete riding between 5:15 p.m. and the finish must have a front light with two to three hours of battery life.\n7. Each team that starts this race will be given a lap count and time in the results regardless of when they finish. Winners are the individuals and teams that complete the most laps in the fastest time before 12 hours has elapsed. \nEXCHANGE/LAP\nRather than come into the aid area\, solos (or team member taking a second lap) may make an immediate right after the finish line to start another lap. Come race the Turkey (or at least someone dressed like one) on the trails of Papago Park. This fun and enjoyable trail turkey trot is great for the whole family. Join family and friends for a no-pressure fun trail run in the centrally-located trails of the Papago Buttes. Can you think of a more fun way to bond after too much food and football-watching? The 5k is great for beginners or if you’re just looking for a fun outing.
