DESCRIPTION:VIRTUAL ONLY\nIn an abundance of caution for the health and safety of participants\, Sun Health Foundation’s Walk for Women’s Health 5K on Sunday\, Dec. 6\, is changing to a virtual only event. This is due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases within Arizona and Maricopa County. Your wellbeing is our primary focus.\nNow\, you have the flexibility to walk anytime through December 13. Walk in your neighborhood\, on your treadmill\, or anywhere you’d like while supporting women’s health in your community. The Walk benefits Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center’s Women and Infant Services through the Generosity for Generations Campaign.\nEach participant who registers by December 7 will receive a race shirt\, finisher’s medal and mask. \nRACE PACKET PICK-UP\n8 a.m. – 5 p.m. December 2-4 and December 7\nSun Health Foundation\n14719 W. DESCRIPTION:All permits are in hand and we continue to plan toward a safe race for all participants\, staff and volunteers. \nWelcome to the 20th Annual Anthem Holiday Classic! This popular sprint triathlon is held in a great location on a fun\, fast course. Consisting of a 400m heated pool swim\, a fast 20km course and a 5km run to the finish\, Holiday Classic is a great way to finish your 2020 season. Duathlon option new for 2020!! \nPlease do not use the main community entrance to access the pool. When you are called to the pool please proceed through the south gate.\n \nWe are hopeful to bring this event to Arizona. However\, we are prepared for yet another event cancellation due to the ever-evolving COVID situation. We will offer entry-fee refunds (does not include Active processing fees) if the event is cancelled. Please note\, in an effort to reduce face to face contact and limit the number of volunteers present that there will be no finisher medals or awards for Holiday Classic 2020.  \nSAFETY PROTOCOLS\nSafe return to racing \nIMPORTANT SAFETY DETAILS\n1. Swimmers we be called to the pool in small groups. There will be signs around the pool representing your estimated swim time\, please seed yourself accordingly. Cones will be placed 6 feet apart as a reminder to remain socially distanced while waiting for your swim start. \nAQUABIKE\nFinal time for aquabike participants will be calculated at BIKE IN. Once you have finished please return your timing chip. \nCOURSE\nSWIM (Pool is heated)\nEach athlete will be started one at a time with a 15 second gap. Enter the pool feet first. No diving! Up lane 1\, under the lane lines\, down lane 2\, under the lane lines\, up lane 3\, etc. On completing the 8 lanes in the pool you will have done 200 yds. and will need to return to the swim start for a second loop. As you reenter the pool the starter will give you the right of way over athletes waiting to start. \n \nBIKE – 20km\nThere will be a designated lane separating bike traffic from vehicular traffic around the entire course.\nExit the Community Center on Freedom Way\nNorth on Freedom Way to Anthem Way\nEast on Anthem Way to Daisy Mountain\nSouth on Daisy Mountain to Dedication\nNorth on Dedication to Memorial\nWest on Memorial to Freedom\nNorth on Freedom to lap or transition\nThree loops \n \nRUN – 5km\nPlease note: There is no water on the run course. Bottled water will be available to runners as they exit transition\nThe run course utilizes the paved Anthem Trail System and sidewalks.\nStarting from transition area cross the bridge into the park and head south o the Anthem Trail System.\nSouth on trail crossing Whitman then Memorial to Gavillan Peak (MCSO Deputies will be at road crossing)\nContinue south on Gavillan Peak to turnaround\nNorth on Gavillan Peak to Anthem Way\nAnthem Way east to Community Center and Finish line \n \nYOUTH RUN – 1/2 Mile\n \nTIMING\nThis event will be chip timed by 4 Peaks Racing using triathlon chips. Lost or unreturned chips will be charged to the athlete. Results will be available live at the results kiosk on a big screen TV. Chips should be worn on your left ankle and must be returned at the finish. Your entry will include an event shirt\, postage and the proceeds will be donated to Toys for Tots.\nRegistration will be available until Christmas Day and times can be uploaded HERE \nIt is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of The Christmas Sweater 5km. The City of Tempe has moved to the red (substantial transmission) in all three categories (cases\, percent positivity and COVID-19 like illness).\nYou have several options for your entry fees\n1.	Receive a refund\, less Active Network processing fees. Refund requests must be received by noon December 24 and will be processed the following week\n2.	Run the event virtually (shirts will be mailed)\n3.
