Qualify from a national championship race as top 35% of your age group\n2. At that time the road from the entry station to the boat ramp will be closed to inbound traffic. Vehicles may leave at any time but please be aware cyclists and runners will be on the road.\n6:30 a.m. Packet and timing chip pick up at Lake Pleasant 4 lane boat ramp\n7:45 a.m. Registration closes\n7:50 a.m. All kayak/SUP athletes begin (in water Start)\n7:55 a.m. Duathlons and runs begins\n8:00 a.m. Off-Road Iceman Triathlon and Aquabike time trial start – RED swim caps\n8:05 a.m. Iceman Road Triathlon and Aquabike time trial start – BLACK or BLUE swim caps\n10:00 a.m. Off-Road awards ceremony\n10:15 a.m. Road awards ceremony\n10:30 a.m. Must have started the run \nPACKET PICK UP\nPhoto ID required to pick up race packet\nIf you are a USA Triathlon member please have proof of membership\nYou have to pick up your race packet in person (no one can pick up yours and you cannot pick up for anyone else)\nEach member of a relay team must check in but the whole does not have to pick up their packets together \nDIRECTIONS & PARKING\nLake Pleasant Regional park\nNorth Boat ramp off Castle Hot Springs Road\nMorristown/Peoria AZ 85342 \nPlease note that on race day there is a $7 fee to enter Lake Pleasant Regional Park \nSITE PLAN\n \nCOURSES\nSWIM\n\nExpect the water temp to be in the low to mid 50s. Per USA Triathlon wetsuits\, neoprene caps and neoprene boots are allowed. USA Triathlon has granted us a rules amendment to allow neoprene gloves\, provided they are not webbed. We will follow the USA Triathlon guidelines for water temperature.\nIf the water temp is 54 and above swim will proceed as planned\nIf water temp is 50-54 swim will be shortened to 400m\nIf water temp is below 50 event will become a duathlon \nTRANSITION\nSwim in/Bike in at east end (end closest to the lake)\nBike out/Run out at west end\nRack bike according to race number.\nThe ground in transition is on the rough side. Feel free to leave flip flops at swim exit \nROAD BIKE\nIn order to reduce the amount of traffic on the roads we will be blocking traffic from entering the race course. We will still be allowing local and business traffic to access Castle Hot Springs Road.\nSTAY RIGHT! Share the road. Exercise caution \n \nNo water stations. Athletes to self-support on bike\nFollow BIKE signs (yellow sign with black lettering) and follow instructions of staff and/or MCSO\nTwo loop out and back toward Carefree Highway. Turn around\n1. Castle Hot Springs Rd ~3.5 miles from north boat ramp\n2. At 4 lane boat ramp entry station \nPlease ride very cautiously from the entry station down the hill to the boat ramp. This section of road will also have runners \nOFF-ROAD BIKE\nIn order to reduce the amount of traffic on the roads we will be blocking traffic from entering the race course. We will still be allowing local and business traffic to access Castle Hot Springs Road. Furthermore\, people may be camping in the area and not realize there is a race in progress. Please ride with caution at all times.\nSTAY RIGHT! Share the road. Exercise caution \n \nNo water stations. Athletes to self-support on bike\nFollow OFF-ROAD BIKE signs (white sign with red lettering) and follow instructions of staff and/or MCSO\nOne loop out and back up Castle Hot Springs Rd. Turn around on Castle Hot Springs Rd 6.2 miles from north boat ramp \nPlease ride very cautiously from the entry station down the hill to the boat ramp. This section of road will also have runners \nROAD RUN\n \nFollow RUN signs (yellow sign with black lettering) and follow instructions of staff and/or MCSO \nOFF-ROAD RUN\n \nFollow OFF-ROAD RUN signs (white sign with red lettering) and follow instructions of staff and/or MCSO \nAQUABIKE\nFinal time for aquabike participants will be calculated at BIKE IN. Once you have finished please make your way to the finish line in your own time to collect your medal\, grab a drink and return your timing chip. \nTIMING\nThis event will be chip timed by 4 Peaks Racing using triathlon chips. Lost or unreturned chips will be charged to the athlete. Results will be available live at the results kiosk on a big screen TV.
