One of the many roles played by USAT is that of insurance provider for this race. As such USAT requires that every participant be either (1) an annual member\, or (2) purchase a one day membership (which can be done during online registration) \nSCHEDULE\nFRIDAY\, March 24\n3:00 p.m. Optional packet pick up at Anthem Merrill Ranch Parkside Community Center opens\n5:00 p.m. Packet pick up at Anthem Merrill Ranch Parkside Community Center closes \nSATURDAY\, March 25\n6:00 a.m. Packet and timing chip pick up at Anthem Merrill Ranch Parkside Community Center\n7:20 a.m. Athletes that anticipate taking over 2 hours to complete triathlon\n7:30 a.m. Men’s swim start\n7:35 a.m. Duathlon start\n8:00 a.m. Relay swim start\n8:05 a.m. Women’s swim start\n9:00 a.m. Youth Triathlon start\n9:05 a.m. Men’s award ceremony\n9:35 a.m. Women’s award ceremony \nRegistration will remain open until 9:00 a.m. So if you have a child racing you do not have to be there early. \nLOCATION\nAnthem Merrill Ranch Parkside Community Center\n3200 North Anthem Way\nFlorence AZ 85132 \nSITE MAP\n \nSAFETY CONSIDERATIONS\nAbsolutely no headphones allowed**\nAll participants must wear a helmet on the bike route**\n**Infraction will results in disqualification \nSWIM START\nWe will start the swim fastest to slowest. There will be signs around the pool representing your estimated swim time. Please seed yourself accordingly. \nADULT COURSE\nSWIM (400m)\nEach athlete will be started one at a time with a 15 second gap. Each athlete will swim up lane 1\, under the lane lines\, down lane 2\, under than lane lines into lane 3 and repeat the process through all 8 lanes. On exiting the pool go back to the starter at lane 1\, you will be given the right of way over those yet to start. Repeat your first leg through the pool then head to transition. Swim will start fastest to slowest. There will be signs around the pool representing your estimated swim time. Please seed yourself accordingly. \nBIKE (2 Loops\, 6 miles per loop)\nHELMET REQUIRED\nExit transition at Anthem Merrill Ranch Community Center\nNorth on N. Anthem Way\nWest on Merrill Ranch Parkway\nSouth on Felix\nTurnaround at Hunt Highway \n \nRUN (2 Loops)\n \nYOUTH COURSE\nSWIM\nEach athlete will be started one at a time with a 15 second gap. Each athlete will swim up lane 1\, under the lane lines\, down lane 2\, under than lane lines into lane 3 and repeat the process through all 8 lanes. \nBIKE (6 miles)\nHELMET REQUIRED\nExit transition at Anthem Merrill Ranch Community Center\nNorth on N. Anthem Way\nWest on Merrill Ranch Parkway\nSouth on Felix\nTurnaround at Hunt Highway \nRUN\nOne loop of the Anthem Community Park \nAWARDS\nTop 3 overall boys and girls in youth triathlon\nTop 3 male and female in adult triathlon\nAge group awards 3 deep in adult triathlon:\n10-14\n15-19\n20-24\n25-29\n30-34\n35-39\n40-44\n45-49\n50-54\n55-59\n60-64\n65-69\n70+\nAwards will also be given to the top three finishers in the following categories:\nClydesdale (Men 220 +lbs)\nAthena (Women 165+ lbs)\nDuathlon\nAquabike\nRelay \nRACE TIMING\nThis event is timed using equipment by RFID Timing Systems. All participants need to wear a timing chip around their ankle with the Velcro strap provided. The chips are reusable and need to be returned after the event.
