DESCRIPTION:Join us Super bowl Sunday at Tackle Trauma 5km and support trauma education. \nArizona Trauma Association‘s Tackle Trauma (TM) is the premier race and fundraiser experience for individuals looking to support trauma care.  Trauma can lead to lifelong physical suffering and places a substantial economic burden on our health system. Traumatic injuries are the leading cause of death for all children and adults up to age 46. This is a serious public health issue as the prevalence of trauma in our state did not decrease during the Pandemic\, remaining at 6.27 per 1000 Arizonans.  No healthcare\, public health\, or public safety sector has gone without significant impact from the COVID-19 pandemic\, including Arizona’s Trauma System. Trauma systems provide an inclusive and integrated structure that is designed to provide optimal care to injured patients. By participating in this annual fundraiser\, you’re helping to provide valuable injury prevention\, education\, and research to reduce fatalities in our great state.  \nLOCATION/ROUTE\nKiwanis Park North Soccer Field\n101 W. Baseline Rd\nTempe AZ 85283 \n \nRACER AMENITIES\nEvent shirt\nPost-race refreshments\nAwards for overall and age group winners \nCOST\n$35 \nCHARITY\nMoney raised from Tackle Trauma is used to support trauma education and strengthen trauma systems in Arizona \nRACE DAY SCHEDULE\n6:30 a.m. Registration opens\n8:00 a.m. Race begins\n9:00 a.m. Awards ceremony \nRACE TIMING\nThis race will be chip timed using disposable chip technology by RFID Timing. Timing chips are on the reverse side of your race number. Race numbers should be worn the correct way up\, pinned to the front of your shirt and worn over your belly button. \nAWARDS\nFirst overall male and female\nTop 3 male and female in the following age groups\n0-17\n18-34\n35-49\n50-65\n66+
