Hayden Rd\nScottsdale AZ 85251 \nSATURDAY\, DECEMBER 14\n7:30 a.m. Packet and timing chip pick up at The Anthem Community Center.\n8:45 a.m. Athletes that anticipate taking over 2 hours to complete triathlon\n9:00 a.m. Men’s triathlon and aquabike swim start (fastest to slowest)\n9:30 a.m. Relay swim start\n9:35 a.m. Women’s triathlon and aquabike swim start (fastest to slowest)\n10:30 a.m. Kids Triathlon\n11:00 a.m. Awards \nRegistration will remain open until 10:30 a.m. So if you have a child racing you do not have to be there early. \nSAFETY CONSIDERATIONS\nAbsolutely no headphones allowed**\nAll participants must wear a helmet on the bike route**\n**Infraction will results in disqualification \nSWIM START\nWe will start the swim fastest to slowest. There will be signs around the pool representing your estimated swim time. Please seed yourself accordingly. \nAQUABIKE\nFinal time for aquabike participants will be calculated at BIKE IN. Once you have finished please make your way to the finish line in your own time to collect your medal\, grab a drink and return your timing chip. \nCOURSE\nSWIM (Pool is heated)\nEach athlete will be started one at a time with a 15 second gap. Enter the pool feet first. No diving! Up lane 1\, under the lane lines\, down lane 2\, under the lane lines\, up lane 3\, etc. On completing the 8 lanes in the pool you will have done 200 yds. and will need to return to the swim start for a second loop. As you reenter the pool the starter will give you the right of way over athletes waiting to start. \n \nBIKE – 20km\nThere will be a designated lane separating bike traffic from vehicular traffic around the entire course.\nExit the Community Center on Freedom Way\nNorth on Freedom Way to Anthem Way\nEast on Anthem Way to Daisy Mountain\nSouth on Daisy Mountain to Dedication\nNorth on Dedication to Memorial\nWest on Memorial to Freedom\nNorth on Freedom to lap or transition\nThree loops \n \nRUN – 5km\nThe run course utilizes the paved Anthem Trail System and sidewalks.\nStarting from transition area cross the bridge into the park and head south o the Anthem Trail System.\nSouth on trail crossing Whitman then Memorial to Gavillan Peak (MCSO Deputies will be at road crossing)\nContinue south on Gavillan Peak to turnaround\nNorth on Gavillan Peak to Anthem Way\nAnthem Way east to Community Center and Finish line \n \nYOUTH RUN – 1/2 Mile \n \nTIMING\nThis event will be chip timed by 4 Peaks Racing using triathlon chips. Lost or unreturned chips will be charged to the athlete. Results will be available live at the results kiosk on a big screen TV. Chips should be worn on your left ankle and must be returned at the finish. \nDIRECTIONS & PARKING\nTake I-17 to Anthem Way (5 miles North of Carefree Highway). Exit east onto Anthem Way. Proceed straight through two sets of lights to Freedom Way.
