Splash & Dash is a unique event with a relaxed atmosphere that is suitable for all levels of athlete. Whether fine tuning for that big race or getting your feet wet at your first multisport event\, Splash & Dash is the place to be! \nCheckout Moxie Multisport for all your swim needs and wetsuit rentals. After the race go visit them within 48 hours and receive 15% off anything in store (excluding bikes) with bib number (or show them your race results). \nDISTANCES\nSwim 2000m / Run 5km\nSwim 1000m / Run 5km\nSwim Only 4000m\nSwim Only 2000m\nSwim Only 1000m \nLOCATION & COURSE\nSplash & Dash begins and ends at the Special Event Ramp\, on the north side of the lake between Mill and Rural.\nSwim 1000m (1 loop)\, 2000m (2 loops) or 4000m (4 loops)\nRun 5km \n \n \n \nCOST\n$40 until October 27th at 11:59 p.m.\n$45 until November 8th at 7:00 p.m.\n$50 Late registration \nUSA TRIATHLON\nSplash & Dash is sanctioned by USA Triathlon (USAT)\, the governing body of multisport in North America. One of the many roles played by USAT is that of insurance provider for this race. As such USAT requires that every participant be either (1) an annual member and provide proof of membership at packet pick up\, or (2) purchase a one day membership at packet pick up. All participants must show I.D. at registration. Please note that Splash & Dash is sanctioned as a clinic and results will not count toward USA Triathlon rankings. \nSCHEDULE\n6:30 a.m. Packet pick up and late registration at race site\n7:30 a.m. 4000m Open water swim begins\n7:32 a.m. 2000m Open water swim & 2000m Splash & Dash begins\n7:32 a.m. 1000m Open water swim & 1000m Splash & Dash begins\n9:00 a.m. Must have started third lap of 4000m swim to be allowed to continue\n9:30 a.m. Swim cut off \nRACELAB CLINIC\nJoin the expert coaches of Raceab at 7:00am for a dryland clinic including the parts of your freestyle technique most important in open water\, sighting\, the differences between swimming with and without a wetsuit\, and methods to get settled in and relaxed during a race. \nTIMING\nSplash & Dash is timed using equipment by RFID Timing Systems. All participants need to wear a timing chip around their ankle. Results will be available live at the results kiosk on a big screen TV. \nWETSUIT — USE\nSplash & Dash adheres to USA Triathlon guidelines for wetsuit use. Wetsuits may be used when the water temperature does not exceed 78 F. \nCLICK HERE for water temp. \nPARKING\nAll Splash & Dash races are held at the Special Event Ramp\, on the north side of the lake between Mill and Rural. Parking is available at Tempe Town Lake Marina and limited parking is available at Lake View Dr under the 202. \npH POLICY\nIn order for Tempe Town Lake to host a full body contact event the pH of the water must be 9.0 or below\, as required by Maricopa County. An increase in pH is caused by an abundance of algae in the lake typically caused by an increase in the temperature and little to no movement of water through the lake. If the pH does not meet this standard Splash and Dash will be cancelled. Furthermore\, should there be 1/5 of an inch of rain within 24 hours of Splash & Dash the event will be cancelled.
