The Anthem Sprint Triathlon\, hosted in conjunction with Team Anthem Multisport Club\, is held in a great location and on a fantastic course. Consisting of a 5km run\, a fast 20km bike course and a 400m swim to the finish\, The Anthem Sprint Triathlon is a great way to start your fall racing season. Finisher medals for all participants! \nDISTANCES\nADULT TRIATHLON & RELAY\nRun 3.1 miles\nBike 20km\nSwim 400m pool swim \nKIDS (Every finisher in the kid’s triathlon gets a medal)\nRun 1/2 mile\nBike 4.5 miles\nSwim 200m pool swim \nCOST\nADULT TRIATHLON\n$69 prior to 11:59 p.m. July 8\n$79 prior to 11:59 p.m. August 12\n$89 until 6pm August 24\n$100 Race Day Registration \nKIDS TRIATHLON (5 years – 15 years)\n$39 prior to 11:59 p.m. July 8\n$49 prior to 11:59 p.m. August 12\n$59 until 6pm August 24\n$70 Race Day Registration \nRELAY (either 2 or 3 athletes)\n$100 prior to 11:59 p.m. August 12\n$125 until 6pm August 24\n$150 Race Day Registration \nRACER AMENITIES\nRace shirt\nLadies specific shirts\nPost-race refreshments\nFinisher medals for all participants \nSCHEDULE\nFRIDAY AUGUST 24\n4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Packet pick up and late registration at Tribe Multisport Scottsdale\n7624 E Indian School Rd #101\nScottsdale AZ 85251 \nParticipants picking up race packets on Friday receive 20% off purchases at Tribe during that time. \nSATURDAY AUGUST 25\n5:00 a.m. Packet pick up and late registration at The Anthem Community Center. Transition area open and body marking available.\n6:15 a.m. Athlete meeting in transition area\n6:25 a.m. Clear transition area\n6:30 a.m. Kid’s Triathlon starts\n7:00 a.m. Men start\n7:15 a.m. Women and Relays start\n9:00 a.m. Awards \nSAFETY CONSIDERATIONS\nAbsolutely no headphones allowed**\nAll participants must wear a helmet on the bike route**\nNo floatation devices in the pool**\n**Infraction will results in disqualification \nPARKING\n \nOVERFLOW PARKING\n \nADULT COURSE\nRUN – 5km\nThe run course utilizes the paved Anthem Trail System and sidewalks.\nStarting from the west side of the transition area.\nAcross the bridge\nSouth on trail crossing Whitman then Memorial to Gavillan Peak (MCSO Deputies will be at road crossing)\nContinue south on Gavillan Peak to turnaround\nNorth on Gavillan Peak to Anthem Way\nAnthem Way east to Community Center and transition \n \nBIKE – 20km (three loops)\nHELMETS ARE REQUIRED ON THE BIKE ROUTE\nThere will be a designated lane separating bike traffic from vehicular traffic around the entire course.\nExit the Community Center on Freedom Way\nNorth on Freedom Way to Anthem Way\nEast on Anthem Way to Daisy Mountain\nSouth on Daisy Mountain to Dedication\nNorth on Dedication to Memorial\nWest on Memorial to Freedom\nNorth on Freedom to lap or transition \n \nSWIM (2 cycles)\nEnter the pool feet first. No diving! Up lane 1\, under the lane lines\, down lane 2\, under the lane lines\, up lane 3\, etc. On completing the 8 lanes in the pool you will have done 200 yds and will need to return to the swim start for a second loop. In past years there has been crowding in the pool. This system will allow for overtaking and have one way swim traffic in each lane. \n \nKID’S COURSE\nRUN – 1/2 Mile\nThe run course utilizes the paved Anthem Trail System and sidewalks.\nEssentially consisting of a loop around the Anthem soccer fields. \n \nBIKE – 4.5 miles (one loop)\nHELMETS ARE REQUIRED ON THE BIKE ROUTE\nThere will be a designated lane separating bike traffic from vehicular traffic around the entire course.\nExit the Community Center on Freedom Way\nNorth on Freedom Way to Anthem Way\nEast on Anthem Way to Daisy Mountain\nSouth on Daisy Mountain to Dedication\nNorth on Dedication to Memorial\nWest on Memorial to Freedom\nNorth on Freedom to lap or transition \nSWIM – 200m\nEnter the pool feet first. No diving! Up lane 1\, under the lane lines\, down lane 2\, under the lane lines\, up lane 3\, etc. \nWe welcome parents/guardians to accompany their children on the course. If you choose to ride with your child you will need a helmet too. \nAWARDS\nThere are no overall or age group awards for the kid’s triathlon. All finishers in the kid’s triathlon will receive a finishers medal. \nOverall awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers. Age group awards will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the adult distance per the following age groups:\n10-14\n15-19\n20-24\n25-29\n30-34\n35-39\n40-44\n45-49\n50-54\n55-59\n60-64\n65-69\n70-74\n75-79\n80+\nAwards will also be given to the top three finishers in the following categories:\nClydesdales (Men 200 +lbs)\nAthenas (Women 150+ lbs)\nRelay \nTIMING\nThe Anthem Sprint Triathlon is timed using equipment by RFID Timing Systems. All participants need to wear a timing chip around their ankle with the Velcro strap provided.
