INTRODUCTION
Chandler Mayor Jay Tibshraeny invites you to run the parade route! The Mayors Ostrich Festival 5km Fun Run/Walk is the opening event of the 25th Annual Chandler Ostrich Festival. Fast, flat and fun! What a great way to spend a Saturday morning! The race will take place on AZ Ave following the parade route two hours before the parade begins.
Online registration for this event is now closed. Race day registration will be available from 6:30 a.m. -
COURSE
Start at AZ Ave/Boston
North to turnaround #1 at AZ Ave/Ray
South to turnaround #2 at AZ Ave/Frye
North to finish at Dr. AJ Chandler Park -
COST
$20 until midnight Febuary 16
$25 until 6:00 p.m. March 1
$30 Day of Entry
Free for kids aged 10 and under (no t-shirt with free kid's entry) -
SCHEDULE
SATURDAY MARCH 2
6:30 a.m. Packet pick up and race day registration opens at Dr. AJ Chandler Park (3 S. Arizona Ave)
7:50 a.m. All athletes to start line at AZ Ave/Frye
8:00 a.m. Start of Ostrich Festival 5km Fun Run/Walk
9:00 a.m. Awards presentation -
PARKING
Free parking is available at in a parking building on Boston just east of AZ Ave. Please remember that AZ Ave will be closed to traffic from Frye to Knox, this includes east bound and west bound traffic across AZ Ave between Frye and Knox.

TIMING
This race will be chip timed using disposable chip technology by RFID Timing. Timing chips are on the reverse side of your race number. Race numbers should be worn the correct way up, pinned to the front of your shirt and worn over your belly button.
