COURSE
The 12 & 24 Hours of Fury course is the perimter loop of the McDowell Competitive Track. Also known as sort-tech-long the loop is 10 miles long. There will be an exchange area bypass for solo riders and those taking a second lap. The event is chip timed so riders making an exchamge must exchange their timing chip. -

TIMING
This event will be chip timed by CEP Timing. This event will be chip timed by CEP Timing. Timing chips will be available for pick-up beginning at 9:00 a.m. the morning of the event (Nov. 8). Please ensure your timing chip is returned after the race. These chips are the athlete's responsibility. Missing chips will be charged to the athletes. Times will be posted hourly until 1:00 a.m., there will be an update at 4:00 a.m. and then hourly beginning at 7:00 a.m. -
SCHEDULE
Camping is not allowed in the competitive trailhead until Friday. There are other places in the park to camp, but if you try and move into the trailhead before Friday the park staff will ask you to leave.
FRIDAY 11/7

*Bicycle Ranch will be lending their expertise with neutral bike support.

*Crank Junkie Coffee will be onsite for the duration of the event to serve your caffine needs.

USA CYCLING
The 12 & 24 Hours of Fury is permitted through USA Cycling. Non-USA Cycling members are subject to a $5 fee for their one day license. USA Cycling members must produce their membership card at registration. Every athlete is required to check in, sign the waiver and submit it at registration. RULES
*TEAMS - Each member of a team must ride at least one day time lap and one night time lap (does not apply to corporate category)
1. Access to the trail will close at 11:00 a.m. Teams must have a rider on course prior to this time in order to squeeze one more lap into the results.
2. Results will be posted hourly until 1am. There will be an update at 4am. Results we be posted hourly again beginning at 7am.
3. Race numbers must be displayed at all times.
4. Please overtake with care and communicate to the slower rider. Slower riders please yield.
5. There are a couple of places on this course where taking a short cut is possible. Taking a short cut is grounds for disqualification.
6. Rider exchanges must be made in the exchange tent. This event will be chip timed and the chip is your baton.
7. Each athlete riding between 6:00 p.m. and 6:20 a.m. must have a tail light and front light with two hours of battery life and a back up lighting system (eg. Flashlight).
8. Racing between these times without a light illuminated will result in disqualification.
9. Please stop and help other riders if they require assistance. Time adjustments will be assessed on a case by case basis. Cell phone coverage is good at McDowell Mountain Regional Park and carrying a cell phone is recommended.
10. Each team that starts this race will be given a lap count and time in the results regardless of when they finish. There is no requirement to finish after noon on November 2. Winners are the individuals and teams that complete the most laps in the least time. -
PARKING
There is plenty of parking and camping available at both the competitive trailhead and across the road at the 30 acre lot. You will never be more than a 5 minute walk from the transition tent. Parking and camping will be on a first come first serve basis. Please leave the fence line for solo riders. -
