INTRODUCTION
Ready to get down and dirty? Enlist today for the running of the Inaugural Mud, Sweat & Beers and enjoy plenty of all three! Recruits will finish to music, food and beer after they complete the four mile course including hay bales, balance beams, tire maze, tunnels, puzzles, cargo net crawl, a rope gauntlet and two mud pits. If you think that you and your fellow recruits are up to the challenge then toast your accomplishment with a frosty brew at the finish line!
Online registration is now closed for Mud, Sweat & Beers. Race day registration will be available Saurday at McDowell Mt. Regional Park. -
COURSE
Beginning and ending at the Four Peaks Staging area of McDowell Mountain Regional Park recruits can expect plenty of Mud, Sweat & Beers.

WAVE START
Recruits will start in three waves based on their abilities. Each recruit chooses for him or herself the wave to start in.
1) Seal Team Six
The best of the best, these folks are in it to win it. (35 minutes or better for 4 miles without obstacles)
2) Infantry
Battle hardened and proven, these men and women are the backbone of Mud, Sweat and Beers (35 - 45 minutes for 4 miles without obstacles)
3) Doughboys
Fresh meat, these recruits are here for the beer! (45+ minutes for 4 miles without obstacles) -

7:00 a.m. Packet pick up and race day registration at Four Peaks Staging Area
8:45 a.m. Recruit briefing
9:00 a.m. Seal Team Six
9:10 a.m. Infantry
9:20 a.m. Doughboys
9:30 a.m. Beer garden opens -
BEER
Please bring your ID if you wish to drink as we will be giving wristbands to those over 21. Your race number is your ticket for a free beer at the finish. Additional beer will be available for purchase with proceeds going to Nova Youth Cycyling. -
AWARDS
Overall awards for will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers. Age group awards will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers per the following age groups:
Under 14
15-19
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60+ -
TIMING
This race will be chip timed using equipment by RFID Timing. Timing chips need to be fastened to your ankle with the velcro strap provided and will be collected from you as you cross the finish line. Once issued timing chips are the recruits responsibilty and non-returned chips will be charged to the athlete. -
DIRECTIONS & PARKING
From central Phoenix, take Loop 202 east to Beeline Highway (SR 87). Continue northeast on SR 87 to Shea Blvd. Travel west on Shea Blvd. to Saguaro Blvd.; turn north. Continue through Town of Fountain Hills to Fountain Hills Blvd; turn right and travel four miles to the McDowell Mountain Regional Park entrance. -
PARK ENTRY
There is a $6 entry fee per vehicle that must be paid at the main entrance to the park.
