INTRODUCTIONWelcome to the 9th Annual Anthem Holiday Classic! This popular sprint triathlon is the final event on the Arizona multisport calendar. Holiday Classic is held in a great location on a fun, fast course. Consisting of a 400m pool swim, a fast 20km course and a 5km run to the finish, Holiday Classic is a great way to finish your 2010 season.

COURSESWIM (Pool is heated)
Each athlete will be started one at a time with a 15 second gap. You will be asked for your estimated 400m swim time and arranged in descending order 15 minutes before the race begins. Each athlete will swim on one side of lane 1, down the opposite side of lane 1, under than lane lines into lane 2 and repeat the process through all 8 lanes. There will be signs pool side race morning indicating estimated swim time. Please seed your self accordingly.
BIKE - 20km
There will be a designated lane separating bike traffic from vehicular traffic around the entire course.

North on Freedom Way to Anthem Way
East on Anthem Way to Daisy Mountain
South on Daisy Mountain to Dedication
North on Dedication to Memorial
West on Memorial to Freedom
North on on Freedom to lap or transition
RUN - 5km
The run course utilizes the paved Anthem Trail System and sidewalks.
Starting from transition area cross the bridge into the park and head south o the Anthem Trail System.
South on trail crossing Whitman then Memorial to Gavillan Peak (MCSO Deputies will be at road crossing)
Continue south on Gavillan Peak to turnaround
North on Gavillan Peak to Anthem Way
Anthem Way east to Community Center and Finish line
STARTAthletes will be arranged to start the race by swim time. During the registration process please indicate your estimated 400m swim time.
TIMINGThis event will be chip timed by CEP Timing. Chips will be available to pick up at 7:00 a.m. race morning. Please make sure your timing chip is returned after the race. These chips are the athlete's responsibility and missing chips will be charged to the athletes.
SCHEDULEWednesday evening a confirmation email will be sent to registered athletes.

Packet pick up at Triple Sports (SW corner of Miller and Indian School) from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. PLEASE NOTE that you must have registered by 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 8 for your packet to be available at Triple Sports.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10
Packet pick up at The Anthem Community Center from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. PLEASE NOTE that you must have registered by 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 8 for your packet to be available at the Anthem Community Center.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 11
7:00 a.m. Packet and timing chip pick up at The Anthem Community Center, body marking. Registration will stay open unitl 1:00 p.m. So women, relays and kids feel free to come later in the morning.

DIRECTIONSTake I-17 North to Anthem Way (5 miles North of Carefree Highway). Exit right onto Anthem Way . Continue straight through the traffic lights at Gavillan Peak Parkway. Take a right at Freedom Way. Parking will be available at the Anthem Community Center located on Freedom Way.
AWARDSOverall awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers. Age group awards will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers per the following age groups:

Clydesdales (Men 200 +lbs)
Athenas (Women 150+ lbs)
USATWe are proud to be sanctioned by USA Triathlon (USAT), the governing body of multisport in North America. One of the many roles played by USAT is that of insurance provider for this race. As such USAT requires that every participant be either (1) an annual member and provide proof of membership at packet pick up, or (2) purchase a one day membership for $10. REFUNDSA refund of half the entry fee paid, less any fees charged by Active for online entry, will be given if requested 30 days before race day. After that there are no refunds or transfers for any reason. This includes weather, injury or the necessity to change distances or the course due to unforeseen and/or unanticipated circumstances.
